Description
The automatic Vicat apparatus performs the complete setting time determination cycle for cement paste: following the set programme it lowers the needle, measures the penetration depth, lifts and cleans the needle and rotates the ring with the sample to the next measuring point.
The measurements are distributed over the sample surface so that adjacent points do not affect each other; the results are recorded in memory and displayed as a setting curve. A water bath keeps the sample moist throughout the test — the conditions comply with GOST 30744 and EN 196-3.
Supplied with initial and final setting needles, a plunger for standard consistency and rings; data are exported via USB.
