Description
The muffle furnace is designed for calcining and ashing samples when determining loss on ignition and organic impurities content, and for preparing samples for chemical analysis of binders and aggregates.
The vacuum-formed ceramic fibre chamber with exposed heating elements on the side walls reaches the operating temperature quickly and reduces energy consumption compared with brick lining. The programmable controller stores up to 30 programmes of 16 segments each: heating at a set rate, dwell, cooling.
The door opens downwards to form a working platform; the heating elements are automatically de-energized when the door is opened.
